Pretty much everyone who lives in Abu Dhabi will be familiar with this building. But surprisingly little can be found out about it online.

The Abu Dhabi Theatre building is laid out as a dodecagon in plan, topped with a large dome structure, and decorated with blue, red, yellow and green mosaic. It appears to be a more intimate cousin of the National Theatre, with a capacity in the region of 500 seats.

Located at the end of the breakwater, close to Abu Dhabi’s Marina Mall and Heritage Village, the surrounding gardens are a popular spot in the evenings for those wanting to get a greats§§ view of Abu Dhabi’s skyline.
