NO. 070 - 8 MOHAMMED BIN MASOUD AL MUHAIRBI STREET

The first in a series of three neighboring buildings that face onto Abu Dhabi’s Corniche.

Oddly, the buildings sea-facing facade lacks large balconies (although it is predominantly glazed), whilst the side elevation (facing a currently empty plot), incorporates large triangular-shaped sunken balconies. These create a lovely pattern of light and shadow in the early morning sun. At the base, the building is defined by a series of pointed arches on all four elevations, carved out of a solid plinth.

Architect and completion date unknown.
